Developer Area

You’ve done a game!

Let’s propel your project into a competitive market with all the bells and whistles! Numskull Games is looking for titles that are currently in development. Our tastes range across many genres and styles of game from grimdark dungeon-crawling to vibrant interplanetary jet-setting. We love to see innovation and exploration of development tools and visual identity. If you think your projects has flair, please share!

To help us stay organised and efficient we ask you to prepare a handful of things before contacting us.

How to Pitch.

Our handy Pitch Application Form makes starting a new friendship as easy as delicious cake. To give us an understanding of what you’re working on, please include:

The Elevator Pitch

A procedurally generated co-op isometric roguelike set on the rooftops of Shanghai, following Agent Turtle and his sidekick Bravo on a quest to dismantle the local gang’s stranglehold on the carrot markets with achievement-based cosmetics and Twitch integration?! Sounds like a blast! Wrap up the key points in a short paragraph and let us know what makes your game special. Keep it concise, but give us enough detail to make our ears ignite with excitement.

Visual Examples

Your game’s visual identity is the first thing people will see so we want to see it too! Screenshots and concept art are a wonderful start, but the best way for us to appreciate your game is a video of it in motion. Please upload your videos to YouTube (with either a public or unlisted link) and send it to us via our Pitch Application Form.

All About You

Give us an overview of you, your team and, most importantly, what you’re looking for to help make your project a reality. Be upfront and honest; provide as much information as you can.

Due to increasing volumes of pitches being submitted to us since we began our venture into videogames, we’re no longer able to respond to all applications. If you don’t hear back from us, please don’t be disheartened – there are all sorts of difference reasons we may not take on a particular project.

Pitches sent to us will automatically be covered under our NDA rules and will be kept completely confidential. If you have your own NDA you’d like us to sign instead, please inform us.

Beyond the Pitch.

If your project is a hit with the Numskull Games team, we will eagerly be requesting more information from you. This will likely include the following, but don’t worry if you don’t have these items available straight away:

Games Design Document

It’s important to know where your game is going. We understand during development not everything is nailed down so it’s a great idea to let us know what your plans are beyond the current state of the game. Will you have character customisation? How will friends connect in multiplayer games? How does the story end? Tell us everything you can.

Playable Build

We’re always excited to play your games if you have a build available. The only way to truly get a feel for a game is to play it; sometimes you just have to experience the fluidity of the movement controls or the satisfaction of solving a puzzle for yourself. We can organise a variety of ways to securely transfer your build to us, or you can utilise your own.

Once we both feel a bright future together lies ahead, it’s time to get to work! We do everything we can to create a partnership that works for you and your title. Every project is different, of course. We will always strive to facilitate your needs and be the very best like no-one ever was.

There’s plenty more information available regarding who we are and what we do on the About Us page so take a look and get in touch!
